Cabo Blanco Absolute Wildlife Reserve

The entrance to Cabo Blanco National Park is only 4 miles away, making making our Costa Rica Ecolodge the perfect launching pad for excursions. Cabo Blanco was the first National Park established in Costa Rica and its 3,000 acres of untouched wildlife is testimony to Costa Rica's commitment to preserve large tracts of land. The main trail leads you to the white sandy beach in front of the Island of Cabo Blanco and takes 4 hours. The national park is closed on Monday and Tuesday.

Horseback Riding

Allow our horses to be your gentle guides through mountains, jungle and beaches leaving Star Mountain early in the morning or for a sunset ride. Depending on the rider's level different tours are offered.   See : Horse Tours at Star Mountain

Our 225-acre private reserve affords our guests the best birding opportunities on the peninsula and our small jungle lodge provides a wonderful launching point for bird tours. Our property is adjacent to Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, but has significantly less foot traffic, permitting optimal birding conditions. Our guides can be hired for private or semi-private tours on an hourly basis.
